Our Teachers

We have been as thoughtful in our recruitment of teaching staff as we have been in designing the learning environment, receiving over 200 applications from teachers across the globe to work with us from September 2025.

Our primary priority has been to identify people who genuinely love working with children, who understand the purpose and joy of teaching, and who have the heart and the tolerance to relate with children on a human level. We have already been able to attract some very talented people to our school. Excellent teachers are really interested – drawn to the quality of our project and our vision for the growth of the school.

The names and details of our teachers will be posted here on the website as soon as possible: many of them are still in the process of giving notice to their current schools so cannot be named just now, but here is a brief description:

  • We have appointed a dynamic and innovative teacher, from one of the best private schools in England, to structure and lead our English course within the curriculum.

  • To lead our teaching of English as an Additional Language, we have appointed a brilliant teacher, originally from England, who graduated with a first class degree from one of the UK’s top universities.

  • Our Head of Sport arrives with experience, and glowing references, from working at two of Switzerland’s most renowned boarding schools

  • We are appointing a highly experienced Head of Mathematics to join us from one of Italy’s leading international schools, where he leads the mathematics department.

  • We have appointed a number of teachers with Masters degrees in Early Childhood Education.

  • We have a vivacious Head of Creative and Performing Arts, who has just come to Olbia after 10 years of musical and theatrical performance work in Rome

Our teachers will be supported by graduate Teaching Assistants, who will also supervise the afternoon activities. They are native English-speakers, many with experience in international schools and include students graduating from the University of Cambridge and from Masters programmes in education
