Biography

Born in Sardinia into a family of educators, Ilaria has worked in diverse contexts in Great Britain, Germany, and Qatar. She holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Trieste and a PGCE International from Liverpool John Moores University. She is a certified CEDILS teacher of Italian as a Foreign Language and is completing the DLL (Deutsch Lehren Lernen) program with the Goethe‑Institut and the University of Jena. An experienced, certified IB teacher, she is passionate about curriculum design, language and educational research. Ilaria speaks Italian, English, German, and French. Most recently, she served as Head of the Italian and German Department at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University Language Center in Doha. Outside the classroom, she enjoys sports, painting, and music, which continue to inspire her holistic and creative approach to education.
