Emilio was born in Cagliari, Italy. He spent a year in London before returning to complete a degree in Sports Science at the University of Cagliari, including an Erasmus exchange in Spain. With a strong background in sport and physical education, he has developed particular expertise in basketball – a central part of his life, both as a player and coach. He began coaching at 18 and played until 27, later working as an assistant coach for the women’s Serie A2 team at Stella Azzurra Roma. Alongside his part-time role at SIS, he currently coaches basketball at Santa Croce Basket Olbia.
